Some belts try to look worn-in with a few token scuffs. The Wrangler commits to the bit — an antiqued solid brass double prong buckle with real scratch-style detailing, built to look like it's already got a few years on it before you've worn it once.

It's mounted on a single 4mm-thick piece of full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather, so the honesty of the material matches the honesty of the buckle's finish. Nothing about this belt is trying to look newer than it is.

Give it actual wear and the antiqued brass and the real leather will start telling the same story.

Specs

  • Material: Full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather (single piece, 4mm thick)
  • Width: 1.5" (3.8cm)
  • Buckle: Antiqued solid brass, double prong, removable (screw-fastened, not riveted)
  • Finish: Scratch-style detailing, flat edge
  • Includes: Punch tool for custom hole adjustment

Why It's Built to Last

  • Single 4mm-thick piece of full-grain leather — no bonded layers to peel or delaminate
  • Vegetable-tanned finish develops a deeper patina with wear instead of cracking
  • Double prong brass buckle distributes hold across two points, not one
  • Antiqued finish is baked into the metal, not a coating that wears through to reveal something shinier underneath
  • Ships with a punch tool so your fit stays precise for years, not just on day one

Built For

Denim and workwear that's meant to look lived-in from the start. If your wardrobe already leans distressed and vintage, this is the buckle that matches it instead of looking out of place.

Full-Grain Leather vs. Other "Leather" Belts
Saddlebelt Full-Grain Other "Leather" Belts
Grain Strength ✓ Single piece, full-grain hide Bonded scraps, reduced fiber strength
Patina Over Time ✓ Develops a rich patina with wear Coating cracks or peels instead
Withstands Daily Wear ✓ No peeling, cracking, or delamination Often fails within months
Buckle ✓ Solid brass double prong, screw-fastened & replaceable Riveted, can't be replaced if it fails
Price ✓ Costs less over time than replacing a cheap belt every year Cheap up front, but you'll buy it again and again
Sizing — Please Read Before Ordering

This belt is sold by waist range, not a single fixed length — each size covers a 2-inch span (for example, size 33"-34" fits waists measuring 33 to 34 inches). Every belt ships with a punch tool, so you can trim the tip and add a new hole to fine-tune the fit within your range.

Belt sizing chart: waist size in inches and centimeters converted to belt size

For general belt-sizing help (measuring an existing belt, jeans-size conversion), see our Belt Sizing Guide — note that this product uses the waist-range system above rather than the fixed-length method described there.

How to Adjust Your Belt Length

Each belt comes with a punch tool, so you can easily remove the buckle and adjust the length to fit your waist perfectly. Because this is a double prong buckle, use the tool to punch matching pairs of holes spaced the same distance apart as the factory holes.

Step-by-step photos showing how to remove the buckle, trim the belt, punch a new hole, and reattach the buckle
  1. Remove the screw and take off the buckle.
  2. Slide off the tip keeper loop to expose the leather underneath.
  3. Cut off the excess length from the tip end.
  4. Use the punch tool to add a matching pair of new holes where needed.
  5. Reattach the buckle with the screw and tighten — done.
Care Instructions
  • Wipe down with a soft, dry cloth after each wear to remove dust and surface oils.
  • Every 2 to 3 months, work in a small amount of natural leather balm with a clean cloth, let it absorb for a few minutes, then buff off any excess.
  • If the belt gets wet, blot it dry and let it air-dry away from direct heat — never use a hairdryer or radiator, which can shrink the leather.
  • The buckle's antiqued, scratch-style finish is meant to look aged from day one — further wear on both leather and brass over time is the intended look, not a defect.
