Every punched hole is a small weak point — a place where the leather is thinner, more likely to stretch, tear, or sag first. The Prospector skips them entirely. There's no row of holes here, just a clean, unbroken strip of leather that stays structurally whole from end to end.

It's cut from a single piece of full-grain leather, finished with a solid brass buckle that closes over the strap rather than through it. The result is a belt that looks almost impossibly simple — because it is.

Minimal by design, not by corner-cutting. This is the belt for anyone who's tired of a punched hole stretching out after a year of wear.

Specs

  • Material: Full-grain leather (single piece, no perforations)
  • Width: 1.5" (3.8cm)
  • Buckle: Solid brass, hole-free closure, fixed (non-removable)
  • Edge: Flat-cut, no stitching, clean minimal look

Why It's Built to Last

  • No punched holes means no repeated stress points where the leather can stretch, tear, or sag over time
  • Single piece of full-grain leather — no bonded layers to peel or delaminate
  • Solid brass buckle is permanently fixed to the strap — no screws, no wobble, one less part that can loosen over time
  • Flat-cut edge with no stitching means nothing to fray or unravel

Built For

Anyone who wants their belt to look pristine indefinitely — jeans, chinos, and everyday wear where a clean, hole-free line matters more than a decorative buckle.

Full-Grain Leather vs. Other "Leather" Belts
Saddlebelt Full-Grain Other "Leather" Belts
Grain Strength ✓ Single piece, full-grain hide Bonded scraps, reduced fiber strength
Patina Over Time ✓ Develops a rich patina with wear Coating cracks or peels instead
Withstands Daily Wear ✓ No peeling, cracking, or delamination Often fails within months
Buckle ✓ Solid brass, permanently fixed Bent or cracked hardware, no way to reinforce it
Price ✓ Costs less over time than replacing a cheap belt every year Cheap up front, but you'll buy it again and again
Sizing — Please Read Before Ordering

This belt is sold by waist range, not a single fixed length — each size covers a 2-inch span (for example, size 35"-36" fits waists measuring 35 to 36 inches). Because this style has no punch holes, the fit is set by size selection rather than post-purchase adjustment, so please measure carefully before ordering.

Available in Waist 33"-34" through 41"-42". For general belt-sizing help (measuring an existing belt, jeans-size conversion), see our Belt Sizing Guide.

Care Instructions
  • Wipe down with a soft, dry cloth after each wear to remove dust and surface oils.
  • Every 2 to 3 months, work in a small amount of natural leather conditioner with a clean cloth, let it absorb for a few minutes, then buff off any excess.
  • If the belt gets wet, blot it dry and let it air-dry away from direct heat — never use a hairdryer or radiator, which can shrink the leather.
  • Some color variation and darkening over time is normal — full-grain leather is meant to develop a patina, not stay showroom-new.
